About Me
This page gives a closer look at my background, technical experience, strengths, and the goals that continue to shape my development in software and web design.
Background
I began my studies at Wayne Community College in January 2023. My original major was Game Development, but I quickly realized that while I enjoyed it, I wanted a broader and more stable career path within the technology field.
I have always had a strong interest in computers, playing computer games since I was ten years old and writing code since I was fifteen. Transitioning into Software Development allowed me to pursue my passion while building skills that offer long-term professional growth.
Technical Skills
Throughout the program, I have worked with C++, JavaScript, Java, Python, C#, PHP, SQL, and HTML. I am most proficient in Java and Python, though I maintain a solid understanding of each language listed. I have experience working with SQL databases and version control using Git.
In addition to coursework, I have used technologies such as Google Web Toolkit and Apache. I also continue to develop projects in Unity independently, further strengthening my programming and problem-solving skills outside of the classroom environment.
Experience & Strengths
I have built small applications and Discord bots, applying both logic and structured programming principles. While most of my work has been completed individually or within small groups, I am comfortable communicating ideas and collaborating when needed.
One of the projects I am most proud of was a Java-based calculator application developed in a team setting that included animated visual effects for mathematical operations. That project demonstrated both technical implementation and thoughtful user interface design.
I continue to refine my understanding of language-specific syntax and keywords, as transitioning between programming languages can occasionally create overlap. However, I view this as part of ongoing growth as a developer.
Career Goals
After graduation, I aim to begin my career as a front-end, full-stack, or web developer, or potentially as a QA engineer. My long-term goal is to build a business centered around computers and technology.
I am committed to continuously improving my technical abilities while gaining professional experience that will support that vision.
